About Weltex Weltex have been manufacturing custom-made, welded PVC stationery products since 1953, and have gained a reputation for quality that is unsurpassed in New Zealand. CLEAN AND GREEN As well as the customer focus, Weltex also pays particular attention to environmental concerns. When the company was formed, being environmentally friendly wasn't an issue, but things have changed. In response to this, Weltex's product base is cadmium free PVC, the card stiffening is totally recycled and the steel mechanisms all incorporate recycled elements. In short, Weltex's standards include doing everything possible to keep New Zealand clean and green. ISO ACCREDITED In 1995, after 15 months of intensive work designing and implementing a quality assurance programme, Weltex achieved ISO 9002 accreditation.
